Latest Files Cloning

My first minor hack:

Say for example you have Latest Files showing the newest 3 files of download manager. All is good.

But if (like me) you have cloned Download Manager (For example VIP downloads) and want to show the 3 newest files of your VIP downloads, simply cloning "Latest Files" doesn't work because it still shows the 3 latest files from the un-cloned Download Manager.

Easy solution (thanks to subdreamer's organising of plugins)

First clone your Latest Files Plugin

Find your cloned download manager in "plugins". Mine was named: p2001_download_manager

Find your cloned Latest Files plug-in. Mine was named: p2002_latest_files

Open the cloned Latest Files folder and open latest_files.php in a text editor

Simply search for number 13 (the original download manager plug-in id) and replace all references with 2001 (or whatever number your cloned download manager is given).

Works like a charm.

I hope this isn't too simple to include here.

I did read every single one of the hacks here. There only seems to be one page of them. So if it was posted before it&#39;s not there now, unless I&#39;m missing something. I had a feeling that this was so obvious and simple it must have been posted before.

Aw well, next time I guess I&#39;ll just assume it&#39;s already been posted somewhere even if I can&#39;t find it. :D

its ok, i remember it cos i had the problem :P double posting is good, reminds us all about the hacks. but we should search first.

i know my fault too sometimes :P
