Hello! This is my first post so if Im doing this wrong or such, please let me know. I've been looking around for anime themes for SubDreamer but I can only find one (Its based on Naruto.....Im definetly not a Narutard).
So I was wondering if anyone can make a theme based on this anime game/TV series called "To Heart 2"? Im willing to pay for it to be made for my site but ya gotta let me know how how much something like this is going to run me (Im not rich or anything....Im a student just making it by :blink: ). Anyway, if anyone is willing to take this request I would really appreciate it and if ya need help with finding images then I can supply them. As for how the the theme will look, ask me also.
Thank you and I really hope someone gets this for me. Thank you.

Seeing that there no one has answered this request yet, I have a proposition. If I was to design my layout in photoshop, can someone make my theme from that design? Just wondering.
If you have an idea of what you want, I'll take a look at it.

Oh thank you so much. I was starting to lose hope on anyone actually responding this request. Heh, shows I need more faith in waiting. Ah well, thanks for the response and I will get right on it. Just let me know if its possible when I got the preview up.

Okay, I've finished the design I had in mind for the skin I wanted to have made for my site so here is what I have thus far:
http://www.animetoshokan.org/atimages/works/to_heart2_design_small.jpg
Please let me know if this is even possible to be made into a skin. Thank you so much for your time.
You can convert any design into a skin, however it's better to post high resolution images. The image you posted is a bit too small, maybe upload the original sized image somewhere and then add the link here or simply just upload it here.

That's very cute :D. Great design.
I should be able yo turn that into a design. Send me an e-mail with your info at http://home.iggycorp.com/contact and I can get it started for you.

I have several designs but issues creating a skin....the manual was a bit hard and last time I had errors....I hope to get one done that works and thus create some like mad, but I got a little lost when I was reading the manual...
Is there some tips or tricks?
thanks

Yeah I know. I was just being cautious of my design being taken if I posted up a high res version of that image on here (I've had bad experiences with that in the past). Anyway, I already have uploaded the .PSD file of that image on my site server. I'll send you a link so that you can pick it up and if you need the original image files I used (the To Heart 2 & background images....everything else was made by myself) then please let me know and I'll send you a .rar file with everything in it.
I sent you an e-mail. Please check it an get back to me.

Well, I still haven't gotten the finished version of my theme from Iggy but Im sure he'll read this anyway. When I ever do get it from him though, I'll just go ahead and release it to everyone rather than making it an exclusive theme for my site.
Until then, I'll just have to keep waiting.

I'll do it. email me at robert_j_ellisATddepot.com . If you want it free, this skin would be added to the subdreamer community skin database.
Well I've been busy and havn't been able to finish it. All that needs to be done is the forumskin. I'll put up the .zip and see who wants to do the forumskin.

Well, I was on a skin making marathon building a few skins at once. I completely rewrote heart2, it's 95% done.
My test site is currently down temporarily, it should be up when I wake up, and then I can finish it up.
Here's a few teasers though:
- It's fully liquid, both width and height wise; and works in nearly all browsers.
- The column on the right is now collapsible.
- The header I made Liquid.
- The dropdown menus have a very cool customised effect.
- Forms have a neat effect.
- added support for 20 plugins, 10 on the left, and 10 on the right.
- added the usual extra features of any gp standalone model.
Who knew designing with pink could be so fun ? :).

Thank you Iggy & Robert for helping with this project. I really do appreciate it. If ya like, if I ever get the idea for another anime-type theme that ya wanna do a joint project on, let me know. I kinda like the feeling of having something I helped make given out to people and hearing their thoughts. O_o

Anime rules, and yeah - some more anime skins would be pretty cool.
Teamwork will mean the success of subdreamer.org :), and it's a winwin situation all around. If you have any other ideas for anime skins, post away; I'd be pleased to assist.

Okay, Im testing the skin out now and I got width problems. Here's a what its doing for me:
http://www.animetoshokan.org
Let me know if its something I can probably fix on my own. Forum page also up.
Robert_J_Ellis

Is it too wide ? I made sure to add a minimum-width control for that:
for the site
open: css/sw.css
find:
/* minimum width of site ( not the forumskin ) */
/* Note: make sure to subtract 264 pixels from */
/* the intended minimum width to achieve that. */
img.h_smw {
width: 510px;
}
for the forumskin
open: css/se.css
find:
/* minimum width of site ( not the forumskin ) */
/* Note: make sure to subtract 264 pixels from */
/* the intended minimum width to achieve that. */
img.h_fmw {
width: 510px;
}
I could add a better minimum-width device if that's not working for you.
But one question, what's up with your subdreamer copyright ?
SomaAtlasia
04-23-2006, 04:17 AM
Okay, I've tried altering the css files you posted up top but nothing happened to the pages. I've tested the skin on my blog site also and its the same problem. The forum page seems ok to me though on my group site. Also, the title segment seems to be a bit into the girls in the background header pic so that might have to shift over to the right a bit. and some of the links in the menu bar up top look kinda off a bit (Not to mention the the news is over lapping the image on the homepage). Those are the problems I found as of right now though.
Also, the copyright is my doing. Im playing around with the index.php core file for now to since Im messing around with things I don't understand all that much. But I placed it back in there so it should be fine now.
Robert_J_Ellis
04-23-2006, 04:33 AM
the site is 100% width. It's not possible to make it static. It will always be the width of the screen, if that's what you mean.
Well, the copyright is not the default style, I'm looking into this.

Not to be bothersome or anything, but I was just wondering about the status on the next update to the theme. Not like many people downloaded it and all but I still have the same problem as explained above....
And Im using IE 7 Beta 2 right now.

I'll take care of it shortly, thanks for reminding me.

05-15-2006, 12:26 AM
Okay, I've been doing some cleaning & reorganizing on my site and I've kinda fixed my width problem a bit. It had to do with all of the menu catagory links I had at the top of the page. It brought the right side of the screen back to where I wanted it.
I've also noticed something on my homepage, its like if I place the news plug-in in the first slot, the news title & such overlaps with the image on the left of it and that anything in the 1st slot is shifted towards the center of the page while everything else is shifted to the far left. Just look at my website and you'll see what I mean.
Also, if its not too much trouble, is there anyway you can put the section headers in a table or such to break each section off like the stuff on this site homepage?
Robert_J_Ellis
05-15-2006, 04:03 AM
The first plugin does shift to the right purposefully so that it does not overlap. I'll check it out shortly, finishing something up.

Take your time, I know you got other projects so this isn't really something I need asap or anything. I guess I can also start on my next theme.
Oh yeah, about that. When I do the .psd file of the design, what resolution should I put it in so that its most convienent for you to work with and such? I've never got around to asking Iggy about that and was wondering if he had a hard time with the To Heart 2 skin implimentation because of it.

We may adapt this theme for my daughters website. She is an anime junky. Pretty damn good at drawing the stuff too. I wish her old man had some artistic talent to help her in the area... alas, nope.
We may adapt the image gallery and create a comic in which her and her other friends can draw and create their own stories. The idea is that differnt stories will connect at certain points. At the intersecting images, you will be able to follow any of the charcters or look back to see how they ended up in that situation.
Could be cool if we can pull it off.

Allright Soma, I usually like to make the design in a 1024 by 786 window, this ensure that the design's ready for many widths.

Well, the daughter and I have laid out a few plans tonight. We downloaded SMF and checked that out. Seems like a nice board for the cost! We will purchase another SD license at the beginning of the month and get rolling on her new site.
I showed her your skin and how it is turning out and she is pretty excited.
What a cool way for a father daughter to bond :)

Well, we threw together several elements of my daughters site tonight. Can I put in a couple of small requests for this skin?
A second design that will have a much shorter header and the menu almost on the top.
Any way to get the header portion of the image as a psd or a graphic without the characters? My daughter and her friends hope to put their characters in that position.
I know this is really pushing your generosity... but... an identical skin but with a darker more sinister look and feel :) She thought it would be cool to change the look based on mood. That girl kills me.
Thanks guys.
Oh yeah, their site is called http://www.ookamipack.com. This is a Japenese / English mix for wolf pack. They have had a club of girl anime artists for about three years now. It has been a real treat watching their skills improve.

Well, I can do a dark version of this theme.....maybe pink with black? As for the image with the 3 girls from To Heart 2 on it, it can't really be changed but I can send you the .psd file I created while making the theme.
Since my PC crashed, I lost everything I used to have on this PC and Im slowly recovering all of it back but my site still has the psd file of this theme. If ya want it to see what you can do with it, let me know. But if you want me to design a dark version of this theme, let me know that instead so I can get right on it but let me know what colors your daughter would like the theme to have so I can brainstorm on a design for the theme.

OK, the daughter really likes the idea of black and pink! That color scheme would be real cool as well!
I also thought I would share with you folks a picture of my little girl. At her 8th grade graduation she wore a kimono. It takes a pretty strong person to be willing to seperate herself from the crowd on such an event :) Thats a my girl :)

Hey Robert, just one question. Mind explaining what changes or updates were made to the theme in the new version that you've posted? I can't seem to find anything as of right now.
Also, I was wonder if you ever decide to do another update, if you could make it so that the forums is moved down lower so that its more centered onto the forum page? For some reason, its rather annoying have the side scroll bar at the bottom of the page.
