Similar design to the advanced skin isn't it, really nice d_source well done. Oktam or whoever if the plugin bar on the right was moved over to the left side and the colour scheme was changed that would be a pretty decent skin for the outdoors skin I was talking about in another thread.

Loved it as mentioned on the SD.com site, d_source. However, the site for me doesn't display correctly on IE. I tried a fresh install, and did not make any modifications to any of the PHP files, but the problem still persists.

Attached is a screencap of the site, stretched oddly in IE.

See, but that's the problem - I want to use the hover menu, but if I do, I can't use category images. Ah, dilemmas :(

Looks like it's not an isolated case though, since Oktam has the same problem as me. Can d_source look into his codes, please?

The *General Problem*

I dont know what you exactly do :blink:

but I have to say *d_isubdreamer* & *d_crystal* works
fine with IE 6 & Firefox.

I use IE 6 and I have no visual problems with the Skins.
The Image Buttons working fine.

I think you use to much menus :rolleyes: but I cannot say at this moment
it is the mistake...

Ok code_renegade,

I have make some tests for you...

If you are using the font in your example pic, it will better you
do not use the image buttons.

It looks in IE 6 like this:

[attachmentid=44]

But if you are use the image buttons with 8 menu categorys

It looks in IE 6 like this:

[attachmentid=45]

It is a simple mathematical example:

We have a total weight from about 770 pixel for the design.

One of the Buttons have 99 pixel weight.

The space between the Buttons are 10 pixels

Buttons:

99 pixel x 8 menus = 792 pixel

Space:

10 pixel x 8 menus = 80 pixel

Final Result:

792 pixel + 80 pixel = 872 pixel - 770 Pixel = 102 pixel tooo much :blink:

Does this mean that I need to remove one category from the menu? Isn't there a way to make the site layout lengthen slightly in IE (it displays perfectly in Firefox) since I don't really want to remove any of my categories?

A simple way:

make the file "bg_header.gif" from 814 px to example: 1000 px

The problem is you have to use a photo/grafix programm.

Hi Scartissue,

the problem is when the Plugin weight is bigger than 211 px ! A few Plugins are larger than 211 px for example the News Plugin, Download Manager & Costum Plugins.

If your Custom Plugin have a total weight of 240 px fo example the skin scratches like this.

The little window on Top of the colum have a total size of 211 pixel !

That's the problem ! I'm working at this moment at the new d_crystal skin.

I think I can release it at the end of the year ! But if you have some more questions about the released skin - ask me
