Hello all,

I was wondering if anyone could make a skin for an outdoors site. Here are some of the specs I've come up with.

- Use the banner below in it
- Links along the top in a row beneath the banner.
- Plugin places in 3 columns from left to right with the thickest in the middle for large bits of text etc.
- Natural and outdoors/earthy type colours. Creams, greens, browns etc
-And also a second design page with just 3 big plugin places in rows.

Here is just a very basic design view please excuse them I have no design skills at all and I used paint.

Well that's all I can think of at the moment what do you think?

you might want to check out one of TD's skins... it might do the trick for your layout if you replace the graphics... But you did post it in the right area... and who knows maybe it'll get done.

Oh also It needs to be able to support Sub-Categories and Sub-Subcategories.

I am away for a week on holiday from tomorrow and I am leaving at 5am tomorrow morning so any more questions need to be asked within about the next 10 hours.

Scott,

I'd go get cleangreen or even finefoods from my site and change some colors around. They are the layout that your looking for. With finefoods you could just replace the random food images with ones related to your site. All the colors are in tables so there's no graphics to change. I would also suggest you download "XAMPP" to set up a dev site on your PC this way you could tweak it and get it right before you upload it to the working site.

It doesn't matter anymore it looks as if my site is no more. I have been on holiday for a week and when I get back I find that my host has shut down and closed all the websites and that they have said some sites would be moved to a new server, of which mine hasn't and so I have no way of contacting them to get what I need to move to a different site. It looks like all my hard work and money over nearly the past year has all come to nothing and my site is gone forever. I can't believe it...

:( As if we needed a reminder of why it is important to keep regular backups of our sites.

Ha yes TD I have had quite a bit of server trouble. In my first post I was quite worried but it isn't really all that bad I have sql backups of both the site and the forums. The forums are from the day before I went away so recent but the site backup is quite abit older than that but I shouldn't lose all that much. However, it may not come to that as I managed to trace the host through their domain name registrant and get their new email address so I have contacted them and waiting for their reply.

Make sure you find something stable for the new host. If you think it was scary this time image 2 years down the line when you have countless hours of work put into your site. With the help of subdreamer you can have a website up fast but, it takes time to build up your content. The content is the value of your site. Whether it's images, files, or just chat it's the meat of the site and without it you'll come across as a little thin looking. Don't take chances with it. It's a LONG term investment.

Thanks TD, I am going to check out the Hosting company reccomendation thread over on subdreamer.com and check them out. I am definitely going to move to a more reliable one.
