I'd personally like to see a review plugin that is simply a modified version of the news plugin but with customizable inputs (both text and dropdown) but also works with the latest news plugin.

Review title
review score/rating (customizable)
custom input(s)
review text

example:

Subdreamer 2.2
SCORE - 5/5 stars
URL: http://www.subdreamer.com

Subdreamer is a fasntastic content management system with many features; most notable (to me) of these is the ability to easily add plugins, bringing new functionity and features to your website. .....

I was looking for something similar but could not find it. I tried to use the news plugin but it just did not fit my needs. Is there any way this could be done simply or maybe a modification of the news plugin?

Yeah that would be awesome, like a possible image uploader as well. Or a text box you place the image link in and it resizes it.

well, you guys need to start to work on it, i think most other people are quite busy at the moment, there are more important plugins to work on.

I have two plugins on my list at the moment. This is something that would be fun to tackle, but I must stay on task. Stay on task. Stay on task.

Oh man, it is hard to do when you really want to help and see something that would be a big benefit to the community.

one that would be like

title
info
description
analysis
with customizable areas like that would be great

then users can submit reviews, and they go live with admin approval in categories

then a user can make a comment and give a rating like 10 stars or something, which will reflect on the review. maybe even a product review rating and a review rating or something

then a top reviews, and top products
as rated by users

would be completely awesome!

I would like to see this as well. I will probably be willing to help contribute money for a custom one to be made. I run a bride and vendor forum and need a vendor review system.

Some features I would request are:
1. 3 levels of categories
2. Allow members to add comments to the vendor reviews.
3. Changeable options, like, name, email, web page, add a picture, address, etc. Some vendors don't have a web page, so it would be great not to allow it.
4. Allow members to add a rating for the vendor, definately 5/5 or 10/10 or have a cateories and vote 5/5 or 10/10 (e.g. Service, response time, overall, etc, etc)

That's about all I can think of for now. Something similiar to bfarber's links system on invision power board, but a little more configurable.

Any progress on any of this? Is there anything available out there, even for a fee? I also need a review system, but nothing very elaborate. I guess I can start looking for external scripts to try to incorporate into SD...

I had a script for doing review rating stars etc, but could not get the return page to update so I dropped it.

This is not a plugin, but a program ($135 to buy, free demo) that integrates with vBulletin (and other BB's I think) and is easy to wrap in an iFRame in SD. I went with it and I'm happy:

Looks like those at www.jaspersrealm.com have produced a review plugin for subdreamer.

I see that, but I really like Reviewpost better. I also believe they developed the resellerratings.com system as well. So they have a proven track record and a more configurqble product.
