View Full Version : Help With the RSS plugin
Hey guys just found your site and im loving the help its giving me with subdreamer. Got a small problem with the RSS plugin though.
Im trying to install the plugin in the plugin section like you do with any other pluging and I get a huge list of errors e.g
Warning: main(./class.RSSfeeds.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/fhlinux204/v/virtual-world.org.uk/user/htdocs/plugins/p78_RSSfeeds/p78_RSSfeeds.php on line 149
any clues or ideas would be cool.
Also does the RSS thing accept RDF streams
I havent got a clue

hi neil.
i have seen this before. i remember i had it once, but i worked it out :S
which plugin are you using?
RSSfeeds XML Client http://www.subdreamer.org/sd_plugins/p13_s...3/p13_fileid/12 (http://www.subdreamer.org/sd_plugins/p13_sectionid/3/p13_fileid/12)
or p78_rssfeeds
if i remember correctly, you had to include some extra files and place them in in another folder?

You need to place the files,
class.RSSfeeds.php
and
functions.RSSfeeds.php
in your subdreamer root dir with your index file.
Very good plugin :)
Great thanks geiri that works great now with feeds from the bbc but I have a problem getting this feed working.

Thanks - this seemed to help me. The remaining issue I have is that when I refresh my page, I lose the rss feed (all that remains is the RSS FEED heading). If I change the TTL for a feed and save and refresh my page, I temprarily get the feed but then on page refresh, I lose it again.
Any ideas?
Thanks!

I am having a similar issues with the plugin and IPB RSS Feeds. I have feeds to my from from the event calendar (for the next 10 days).
When I import more than one feed from the forum to the plugin, the same information is being displayed in all the feeds on the page.
I am also getting a SQL Fatal Error: Fatal error: Call to undefined function: array() in /home/xxx/public_html/plugins/p2004_RSSfeeds/p2004_RSSfeeds.php on line 51
Line 51 is: RSS_Load_Item_Arrays();
I changed the TTL to 1440 (to update evry day), and maybe that's going to help.
Any suggestions to either of the above would be appreciated.
