Make submenus sideways

Many of the default sub-menus just do a drop down, I would like to know how to alter this so it only drops down one level then places the next sub category to the right on a horizontal line.

I am currently messing with the skin clearly to figure this out.

I'm using the dedicated skin and that is how my menu is. If you are going to use dedicated with IPB, ask ED, "HeavyEddie" what he did to get rid of my errors.
