I was wondering if anyone else in the community had thought of a glossary plugin.

Basically, a list of words displayed that can be expanded once clicked to show the meaning?

Is anyone intrested in helping to create this?

well if it was wiki style that would be cool.

but i could see how this could turn into a FAQ plugin manager. based on topics....

True, and that was first thought, but i know people have been working on the FAQ manager.

But a glossary should be short and sweet answers!

Ill have a look around a bit more

I get a mysql bug if I try to use htm br command, and had to delete the glossary.

If deffinition field is shown a character count would be nice

100 letters and then read more.

BETA Release

Please uninstall the old glossary plugin if you have that - apoligies.

SQL update bug is fixed, if no problems, this will become final in a week.

email/print, a/z, comments, and views will have to wait till the next version. But, you will know when the next version is released (hehehe - in the plugin itself, the graphic up the top will tell you!)

Waaa?, How did I miss this one?
Dammit!

Sweet stuff as usual THomas.

hey, U think there is any chance of using it like a glossary, whereby you determine the names as you do here, but if it appears in the body content of the page, it creates a link to the description?

Many websites offer this as a way to generate business, so you can rent keywords on your website to companies. This would require modifying the core output to check output against the DB of known acronyms/glossary terms etc. This would be AWESOME!

Good work matey..

I dont know, I havent touched this plugin in a long time. If you want to play with it, your more than welcome to.

I think the first thing to do would be to organise a alphabet sort type, and maybe a javascript/ajax drop down of the meanings

Same problem as m2kr. Windows Explorer and Winrar report a corrupted archive. Izarc acts like nothing's wrong, but extracts a 0 byte install.php file.
