Ive been thinking about making an webmail client for sheer pratice reasons. Im new at programming (not only php but in generel). I was looking through some php websites and i found this PHP Class (http://www.thewebmasters.net/php/POP3.phtml#SYNOPSIS). Could one make a email plugin for subdreamer using this class? Im not sure how classes and subdreamer would interact or if its at all possible.

Yes, its possible. Theres a vBulletin mod, that all you have to do is login to access your mail. If I just changed the login setup, I could probably do it. But the legal issues could prelude from that.

One would think that if you "interpeted" the class that you would not be in violation of a copyright. Seeing that it wouldn't be the same code.

You could mail the owner of the code and get his premission in writing to edit his code :)

way off topic but I noticed in that URL that it's an https request and they also designate port 443... seems a little redundant being ssl's default port is 443... just a silly observation. ;)
