"Site Map Hack " Highlighting of the category that is being browsed.

I have this working. Swap out the file. Make a back up first just in case.

Is this mainly if you have used the plugin on more than one page? Otherwise why show where you are?

Looks good btw.

Yeah, it really only makes sense to use on a site that uses the site map in many categories. You can see it on www.keystonemarket.com although I only have the site map in a few categories.

Thanks,
TD

nice job... does look nice if you have a bunch of different ones on your site at the same time.

tomatoes....ya it definitely looks better if you have more than one sitemap....but woudn't a breadcrumb be more effective then? Just a thought and curious how one would use this. Will check out keystonemarket.com

thanks

Well Chan Kong-sang asked for a "Fish". Spib provided the "Bait". I just applied the "Fishing". For the BEST application you do NEED the site map on every category. A breadcrumb has a different look. I was helping out a fellow user and had a few moments of time.

After thinking about this in the last few hours I've come up with this.

A peek. Using the new mod on the site map for navigation.I've hard coded it into the skin.

Good evening,
i heard my name? :D

No seriously, i think i found a bug in this version.
Categories that just link to another place are echoing categoryids instead of the link provided. You may test it on my site (daspace.net), i'll keep it up for a couple of days. Click on the download subcategories and forum link.
Services - Downloads - HL: http://www.daspace.net/index.php?categoryid=31 should be http://www.daspace.net/downloads/p13_sectionid/5
Services - Downloads - HLČ: http://www.daspace.net/index.php?categoryid=32 should be http://www.daspace.net/downloads/p13_sectionid/7
Forums: http://www.daspace.net/index.php?categoryid=24 should be http://www.daspace.net/forums

Thanks in advance.

P.S.: I just use this as menu, on any page. I don't like the default category menu neither the breadcrumb.

I went to check it out but, the pages are blank.
contact (http://www.subdreamermods.com/forum/private.php?do=newpm&u=19) me if you want more help. Otherwise your on your own. :)

The problem is if you hide a category from the menu it's also hidden from the "Subcategory Menu" plugin, which is bad if you still wanna have it visible in a side menu.
Now we need to get this working with friendly urls but i've requested more already, i'm barfaced i know. I requested an option for (automatic) opening of the subcategories ;)

Therefore i (mis-)use this plugin as menu and thanks to tomato for editing it for me. That's really appreciated and if this project done too than... i got at least two free sponsor slots

Another thing that just came to my mind is to show the category and it's subcategories only in that you browse currently. 'Cause if i could clone the sitemap i would disable not needed (sub-)categories ;)

Thank you tomatos for making me (us?) the best menu plugin ever :)

not sure why i got this problem, but im bazzled.....

I used TD's changes above, and the bold is all showing up ok, but if i click that highlighed category again, it goes back to the home page??????????

odd?
