I have updated the VB35-SuperSkin for Subdreamer 2.2

Many thanks to Subduck for incorporating my 2.1 code hacks into v2.2. You no longer need to modify includes/usersystems/vbulletin3.php to install this skin. Like all others, all you need to do is download and unzip.

This skin is now available in the downloads section. Enjoy.

Hello!
I have a problem with skin:
The links doesn't work very well because they show 2 times the site url.
i.e. www.yourdomain.com/http://www.yourdomain.com/forums/index.php?

I can resolve this by removing Website URL but I think is the wrong way.

I don't know if I'm having a problem or not, but perhaps you can help anyway?


If you take a gander at my test site:

You'll see that it seems to be working (none of the links except home and forums work, don't want to link all the plugins and then drop them if I decide to change the design! :D )

Issues:
1) I've had to center the logo in design2 even though it was centered in the forums so that variable wasn't being pulled over for some reason.

2) the widths are different from the home page and the forums.. The $vb3stylevar['outertablewidth']; is set at 95% and works within the forums, but outside the forums, it is about 90% (guessing).

3) the navbar is different for the forums and for the SD site. Would it be easier to have the navbar for the forums echo to the SDsite or make the navbar linked (though SD adminCP) and then use that navbar in the forums? (does that make sense?)

Other than these things I can't seem to sort out myself, Very good skin! I bought Graphite Pro but couldn't get the colour schemes to fit the way I wanted them to so this skin is actually cutting down on alot of work for me! Thanks again and I look forward to your reply.

I also have a big issue with this skin.
The News plugin is not being displayed !!

I can get the Latest News displayed on any column but when clicking on a news within that Lates News box nothing happens. Also The actuall news are not displayed at all .

Ok, I found it.

The problem was a missing Title.
I installed everything from scratch again and on default the Website Displaiy configuration for NEWS are empty

Is there a way once the skin skinned itself from the forum to fix this permantly ? So even if the style of the forum has been changed it won´t affect the SuperSkin ?

Look after the first /discussion :) There are two //

Check your main settings and remove the one trailing /

Anyway this software can work with 3.0.7? Some of the software i'm using isn't ported to 3.5 yet.

I believe this was released before 3.5 came out... so it should work with 3.0.x and maybe even 3.5.x but I havent tested it...

You removed my credit? I hope everyone isn't doing that. Nothing will end my supprt of the skin or stop me from releasing any future hacks faster.

I don't charge for anything and all I ask is a link for my hard work. Removing it, to me, is no different than stealing.

It almost works. I'm getting that double // for the images too.

In my admin area for forum integration i have it set to

forums/

If i set it to forum without the / it won't take it.

On my forums in the images section i have to put /forums/images/ for the paths because if I don't then photopost and review post will not show the forum integration images correctly. I haven't looked at your code yet but you might need to do a small revision to get rid of the extra / for the image paths.

In addition to this problem I get incorrect header image names for certain vb skins. For example the i-Bulletin skin header does not appear and the path to the image file is http://websitename/forum/images/ibulletin/misc/img_01.gif. The locatio is correct but the file names is not. I got everything worknig except:

The width of the table is off. For some reason it is becoming wider than the banenr I have (Banner is 770). My forums are 770 pixels wide as well. For some reason the ksin or one of the plug-ins is throwing this off.

Also if I leave the main site and try to return to it later I&#39;m not logged in. I am using cookies. Also if I leave the site and coem back it changes back to defautl style isntead of he one I have selected.

I&#39;m getting a "does not support forum skinning" error with this skin, but the other skins worked fine. I tweaked my forum quite a bit, so I&#39;d like to use this skin. Any ideas?

This skins does not skin your forum, it takes the VBulletin forum skin and applies it to the rest of your website. Although I have had some problems with certain VB skins not displaying correctly within SD. Not sure where the problems lie here.

I&#39;m having this same issue. However even when I get rid of the url, it still shows double. It&#39;s odd. I installed everything default, nothing has been changed or added to and no plug-ins have been installed either. Obviously Subdreamer is in the root and forums in a subfolder. The urls point to my forum.

I found out if I use a &#60;?&#62; - in the place of a title name, it allows for the title to not be there, and still show the news.

OK my client is saying he can&#39;t get the banner to show on the top when he is at home on his PC, in some places...but is able to see the banner on work PC without problems.
th URL for the site is http://www.lotsadv.com,

I asked him to send me the source code of the page that the banner is not showing and one with it showing.

I dont have any issues on my PC&#39;s here at the office..we tryed Firefox, I Explorer, Opera, Netscape, Advant..
and we see the banner everytime..its all good here at the office.

BTW my client has a MAC, im on XP..now to the code..

im seeing this dubble slashes in the urls in the bannerless code..
the trick here is to find out what exactly is doing "that"..

or is that the reason for the banner showing up and not showing..??

And what i dont get is why does it matter on his screen but not ours?|

anyone ? I know you guys were talkiing about this on this thread..but nobody really answared with a real fix for it.

well hell..i went and took out the slashes myself inside of the "head" (not header) template...
i got it fixed ..but lets see if it takes care of the disapeering Banner..

stand by for updates. :blink:



Update: May 18th 2006
well customer is saying the banner is still not showing on "some" sessions..
I gave this up..told him to switch to another skin.. :mellow:

I&#39;m using SubDreamer 2.2.4 and VB 3.5.4 and installed this absolute wonderful skin, but I am getting errors and the dropdown menus are not showing up.

I have tried removing all catagories, and other possibilties, but the dropdowns or errors did not change. I am out of ideas.

Update
Upgraded to SubDreamer 2.3.0 and skin doesn&#39;t work for my site, only skin that works is the new advanced 2. So much for me intergrating this awsome skin...
